Mitchell P. Fink, MD
Dr. Fink is a founder and the President & CEO of Logical Therapeutics. Prior to founding Logical Therapeutics, Dr. Fink was the Founding Chairman of the Department of Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Fink is also the Watson Professor of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh and past President of the Shock Society. He is a renowned expert in the field of critical care medicine and the management of trauma and sepsis. Previously, he was also a co-founder of Critical Therapeutics, Inc. (CRTX).
Prior to assuming his present position, Dr. Fink was the Johnson & Johnson Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Fink serves or has served as a senior consultant or Scientific Advisory Board member for numerous pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies, including Eli Lilly, Centocor (a Johnson & Johnson company), Ortho Biotech (another Johnson & Johnson company), Chiron, NovoNordisk and Somatogen. He has assisted several of these companies in making presentations to the Food and Drug Administration, and also has played a key role in the design of Phase I, II and III clinical trials.
Dr. Fink received his medical degree from the Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri, and then completed his internship and residency in surgery at the Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland.
